OUR PROCESS
From Cave to Care: How We Deliver Purity
HARVEST
The nests in clean containers, clean off dirt and feathers, and then store the nests in a dry and clean place while awaiting further cleaning and drying processes.
CLEANSING
We cleanse our bird nests by washing them under running filtered water, and gently rubbing each piece without using chemicals to eliminate any dirt that may have contaminated the nests in our bird nest houses.
PLUCKING
This technique is employed to remove any natural contaminants, such as bird feathers, that have adhered to the nests since they were harvested from our bird nest houses.
CATEGORY
Following the cleaning process, swallow’s nest is then divided into each of its designated categories before it is then processed based on the regulations of its country destinations; different countries have different specifications to be fulfilled namely a few different documents, heating time, and permit requirements.
STERILIZATION
Before our products are packed, each bird nest is sterilized in a high temperature steamer to ensure each product will be free from any germs and/or bacteria. As for our glass bottle packaging, we use retort sterilization process for best hygiene quality.
PACKING
After passing quarantine and government approval, the nest is carefully vacuum-sealed using double layers of plastic to maintain quality. You can choose between regular plastic or mika packaging, with the option for a personalized logo at an additional cost. Finally, the nest is securely packed into a cardboard box for shipment.
